Lucien passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the age of 80 with family by his side. Loving husband of 60 years to Adrienne (née Frappier). Survived by his children, Nicole (Roy), Lise (Rob), Guy (Desirée) all residing in Val Caron; his dear grandchildren, Stéphanie (Alex), Chantal (Scott), Josée, Henri (Alysha), Riley, Mason, Channel, Cloée, Louis and great grandchildren, Benjamin, Mia, Ava, Aiden, Charlie and Archer. Survived by his brother Marcel (Norma) of Mattawa; Predeceased by Fernand, Thérèse Courshene, Arsène, Pierrette Godin, Camille. No obstacle was insurmountable. With only a grade 3 education he persevered to become a crane operator, mechanic, electrician, airplane and helicopter pilot. While he was an avid outdoorsman, that loved hunting, fishing, and trapping, his biggest passion was flying. Flying to secluded lakes all over Northern Ontario with his wife by his side spending the day fishing was where he was the most comfortable. He loved being in the bush and fall was his favorite time of year for moose hunting with his friends and family. Learning the ropes from our grandfather Réne Frappier, Lucien maintained the family trapline for 60 years where he enjoyed spending time at the Kumska trap camp during the winter months with his wife, family and friends. He spent most of his career as a crane operator traveling all over Ontario for 15 years, then changed careers and became a heavy-duty mechanic for Ontario Hydro. While working a full-time job he learned the electrical trade from his bother in law André Frappier. After André Frappier passed away in 1994, Lucien wired new homes and helped so many people with their electrical needs over the last 28 years that we lost track of who he helped. While Lucien will be dearly missed by all who knew him, he would want everyone to know that “pas capable n’existe pas”, and that determination can overcome any obstacle life throws at you. A Memorial Church service will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Paroisse Ste-Marguerite d’Youville, 4290 Hwy 69 N., Val Thérèse. If desired, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy. Arrangements have been entrusted with Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
